Rahmatullah Qureishi appointed new ACB CEO

Afghanistan Cricket Board appointed Mr. Rahmatullah Qureishi as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) today after a competitive process among candidates who were evaluated by ACB Chairman and board members.

Rahmatullah Qureishi appointed new ACB CEO

Mr. Qureishi is an experienced administrator having extensive working background of more than 23 years with various multinational organizations such as the World Bank and the United Nations in the fields of Youth and Adolescent Development, M&E and project management. He holds two Masters in Public Administration and General Management respectively and has attended many academic courses in Europe and USA as well.
Mr. Qureishi has represented Afghanistan at many global conferences and forums on the issues of youth and socio-economic development. 

In an introductory event at ACB, former acting CEO Jaar Abdulrahimzai officially introduced Mr. Rahmatullah Qureishi to ACB staff. 

Addressing the employees in his introductory remarks, the newly appointed ACB CEO expressed his pleasure on being associated with ACB. He added that he is optimist that the organization will continue to achieve more.
 
Mr. Qureishi concluded his remarks saying ,"Our aim will be to further serve and develop the game of cricket in the country as it is a source of joy for our country and it gives hope to our countrymates." 

It shall be noted that the competitive process for the selection of CEO was  based on merit and conducted transparently by an interview panel which consisted of ACB Chairman, Board members as well as officials from the organization.
