Amo skipper Mirwais Ashraf won the toss and opted to bat first in his team’s first match of the tournament. Opening batsmen Usman Ghani and Ibrahim Zadran gave Amo a great start scoring 33 and 25 runs respectively. Fazal Zazai and Rahmat Shah continued the dominance as the former top-scored with 49 runs while the latter contributed 25 runs to the total. The Sharks, however, could not capitalize on their start and lost quick wickets at the end as they concluded with 162/7 in the allotted overs.
In response, Speenghar Tigers were all out for 144 in the ultimate over of the second innings losing the match by 18 runs. Tigers’ Asif Musazai top-scored 50 runs while Sharks’ bowlers performed well as Ibrahim, Rokhan Barakzai, Shapoor Zadran and Mirwais Ashraf took two wickets each to give their team their first victory of the tournament.
