Afghanistan beat Namibia in their third match today to register the second win on the roll to reach semi final round, for which they will have to get over the likes of India and New Zealand or at least one of them with a big margin.

Earlier today Mohammad Nabi won the toss and unlike other sides once again decided to bat first and were able to put a massive 160/5 on the board.


The skipper played a beautiful game of 32, after a fantastic brisk start to the innings by Hazrat Zazai making 33 and Mohammad Shahzad falling 5 runs short of his 50 getting out at 45.

Former skipper Asghar Afghan also left a strong impression making important 31 in his last game for Afghanistan announcing his retirement in the middle of the tournament with a heavy heart. Eaton was the pick of the bowler for Namibia who took 2 crucial wickets to contain the Afghan side. 

Namibia started a chase with the early loss of wickets to Afghanistan seamers, Hamid Hassan and Naveen ul haq took 3 wickets each. Gulbadin added 2 and Rashid 1 wicket on constant manner to dismantle the chase. Hamid Hassan produced the best figure of 3/9 for by an any seamer in T20 international for Afghanistan.

Afghanistan will next meet India on 3rd November on Wednesday.
