ACB Name AfghanAbdalyan Squads for Oman Series

Kabul, 4 October 2023: Afghanistan Cricket Board selection committee today announced AfghanAbdalyan’s squads for the One Day and T20 series against Oman which will be played in Muscat, Oman from 12^th to 23^rd October 2023.

Shahidullah Kamal, who led the AfghanAbdalyan squad at the ACC Men’s Emerging Asia Cup 2023, will lead the team in both series. The One Day squad includes the likes of Noor Ali Zadran, Abdul Malik, Zubaid Akbari, Baheer Shah, Izhar Ul Haq Naveed, Zia Ur Rahman Akbar, Ibrahim Abdul Rahimzai and Mohammad Ishaq Rahimi who have featured in the Emerging Teams Asia Cup earlier this year.

National-capped middle-order batter Nasir Jamal and the right-arm fast bowler Wafadar Momand have been called to the One Day Squad, where the middle-order batters Rahmanullah Zadran & Asif Musazai, and the wicket-keeper batter Noman Shah, who have performed well during the recent domestic seasons, have received their maiden call ups for the AfghanAbdalyan team.

Likewise, the T20 side includes players such as Afsar Zazai, Mohammad Shahzad, Sediqullah Atal, Wafiullah Tarakhil, Karim Janat, Qais Ahmad, Zahir Khan Pakteen and Nijat Masoud, who are currently part of the AfghanAbdalyan squad for the Asian Games Men’s Cricket Competitions 2023. In addition, Hazratullah Zazai and Samiullah Shinwari, Nangyal Kharoti, Mohammad Saleem and Wafadar Momand have also been added to the T20 squad, whereas, Ibrahim Abdulrahimzai, and Ijaz Ahmad Ahmadzai, have been drafted to the squad for the first time based on their good recent domestic record.
