Squads Named for the XBull Regional List A Tournament 2025

Kabul – August 04, 2025: Afghanistan Cricket Board’s national selection committee has finalized squads for the five regional teams featuring in the XBull Regional List A Tournament 2025, starting August 20 in Khost Province.

Hashmatullah Shahidi, Rahmat Shah Zurmati, Yamin Ahmadzai, Afsar Khan Zazai and Ikram Alikhil will lead the Band-e-Amir, Bost, Amo, Mis-e-Ainak and Speenghar regional teams respectively in the 21-day-long XBull Regional List A Tournament 2025, in which each team will play six matches in the first round, followed by a final on September 1.

Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional List A Tournament Squads:

Mis-e-Ainak Region: Afsar Khan Zazai (C & WK), Shahidullah Kamal (VC), Mobin Khan (WK), Hassan Eisakhil, Khalid Taniwal, Naveed Obaid, Rahmanullah Zadran, Emal Shaheen, Abdullah Tarakhil, Mohammad Younus Zadran, Zahir Khan, Lutfullah, Dawlat Zadran, Naveed Zadran, Khalil Ahmad and Mohammad Dawood.

Speenghar Region: Ikram Alikhil (C & WK), Zubaid Akbari (VC), Yousuf Shah (WK), Javed Ahmadzai, Barakzai Naseri, Baheer Shah, Shawkat Zaman, Sohail Khan, Sediqullah Pacha, Tariq Stanikzai, Abdul Zahoor, Qais Ahmad, Mohammadullah Logari, Bilal Sami, Ibrahim Abdulrahimzai and Aftab Alam.

Bost Region: Rahmat Shah Zurmati (C), Riaz Hassan (VC), Masoud Gurbaz (WK), Hazratullah Zazai, Javed Sulimankhil, Nasir Jamal, Bilal Ahmad Tarin, Hamza Khan Alikhil, Mohibullah Hamraz, Ijaz Ul Haq Noorzai, Arab Gul Momand, Qamar Shams, Zir Ur Rahman Sharifi, Sayed Ahmad Shirzad, Muhibullah Zurmati and Yama Arab.

Band-e-Amir Region: Hashmatullah Shahidi (C), Shams Ur Rahman (VC), Noor Ul Rahman (WK), Mohammad Haroon, Mohammad Akram, Zafar Khan Alozai, Ijaz Ahmadzai, Shir Khan Bahadar, Asif Musazai, Abdul Hadi, Farmanullah Safi, Rahmat Terawal, Khalil Gurbaz, Najat Masoud, Faridoon Dawoodzai and Lalbaz Sinzai.

Amo Region: Mohammad Yamin Ahmadzai (C), Abdul Malik Hussainkhil (VC), Mohamamd Shahzad (WK), Imran Mir, Kamal Khan, Ijaz Ahmad, Allah Noor Nasiri, Samiullah Shinwari, Murad Muradi, Abdul Rahman Rahmani, Azeem Zadran, Babar Khan, Mohammad Gul Alizai, Kamil Kakar and Mohammad Riaz.

The tournament will kick off with the Speenghar Region facing the Amo Region on August 20. The other three participants—Mis-e-Ainak Region, Bost Region, and Band-e-Amir Region—will also be vying for the title.

Each participating team will play six matches in the round-robin stage, and a total of 16 matches will be played over 18 days, with the final being scheduled for September 6.

All five teams in XBull Regional List A Tournament 2025 will feature the available national-level players competing against each other, which will provide the Afghanistan Cricket Board with the opportunity to offer valuable exposure and excellent playing prospects for young and emerging cricketers.

As a crucial part of Afghanistan's domestic cricket structure, the Regional List A Tournament plays a significant role in the development of players and the growth of cricket in the country.
