Speenghar register big win against Mis-e Ainak in Nangarhar

Speenghar registered a big win as they beat Mis-e Ainak by an innings and 103 runs in the 22nd match of Ahmad Shah Abdali First-Class Tournament at Nangarhar's Ghazi Amanullah Khan Stadium.

Earlier on Day-1, Speenghar won the toss and opted to field first. Mis-e Ainak were all out for 244 runs as Fazal Naizai top-scored with a centurion knock of 132. Fareed Ahmad took three wickets for Speenghar while Azmatullah, Ibrahim and Arshad Khan took two each.

In response, Speenghar scored a mammoth 515 in their first innings taking a big lead of 271 as Darwish Rasooli top-scored with a brilliant centurion innings of 124 while Shawkat Zaman, Tahir Khan, Ikram Alikhil and Shabir Noori contributed 91, 86, 52 and 49 runs respectively. Yousuf Zazai took a fifer for Mis-e Ainak.

Trailing by 271, Mis-e Ainak were bundled out for 168 in their second innings thus losing their last match in the tournament by an innings and 103 runs. Fareed Ahmad, Ibrahim and Arshad Khan took three wickets each for Speenghar.

Fareed Ahmad was declared Player of the match.

Speenghar is scheduled to start its last match of the tournament on 21st against Bost.
