Selection Committee announces squads for Emerging Asia Cup and 4-day match against West Indies

Chief Selector Andy Moles called the squads competitive and expressed confidence that the teams will perform well in their respective matches.
Moles further added, “The 17-member squad selected for the four-day warm-up game against West Indies consists mostly of the players who beat Bangladesh in the one-off Test in September.”
Commenting on the Emergin team Moles added, “The Asia Cup gives opportunity to a young group of players to impress against the best U23 players in Asia. This group will benefit from the experience of Sami Shinwari as he will captain the side.”
The Afghanistan Emerging squad for the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup is as follows:
Samiullah Shinwari (C), Munir Ahmad Kakar (WK), Abdul Malik, Nasir Omar, Bahir Shah, Tariq Stanikzai, Darwish Rasooli, Wahid Shafaq, Shahidullah Kamal, Najat Masood, Azmatullah Omarzai, Wafadar Momand, Shawkat Zaman, Abdul Wasi and Yusuf Zazai.
Saleem Safi, Shams ul Rahman and Sadam Mangal are the reserve players for the tournament.
On the other hand, Afghanistan’s Squad for four-day warm-up match against West Indies consists of the following players:
Rashid Khan, Asghar Afghan, Ihsanullah Janat, Ibrahim Zadran, Javed Ahmadi, Rahmat Shah, Hashmatullah Shahidi, Qais Ahmad, Ikram Alikhil, Afsar Zazai, Nasir Jamal, Zia ur Rahman Akbar, Zahir Khan, Yamin Ahmadzai, Hamza Hotak, Sayed Ahmad Shirzad and Shapoor Zadran
The four-day warm-up match against West Indies will be played from 20th to 23rd November at Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow while the ACC Emerging Asia Cup is scheduled to be played in Bangladesh from 13th to 24th November.
