Najibullah Zadran 81 (47) bagged three awards by scoring a blistering half-century as he helped the Speenghar Tigers to beat the Band-e-Amir Dragons by 97 runs and atop the points table of the Etisalat Shpageeza Cricket League 2022.
Band-e-Amir Dragons have won the toss and put Speenghar Tigers into bat first, the team that went on to put a mammoth 214/4 in their 20 overs. Apart from Najibullah Zadran’s heroics, Bahar Ali Shinwari 57 (38) also scored a quickfire half-century to give the Tigers a very good batting start. Bakhtullah, Farmanullah, Irfanullah and Aftab Alam all bagged one wicket each for the Dragons.
The Dragons failed to chase the target as were bundled out for 117 runs and fell short by 97 runs in the end. Asif Musazai scored 32 runs for the Tigers whereas Mohammad Ibrahim (3/10), Izharulhaq Naweed (3/19) and Sharafuddin Ashraf (3/27) took three wickets each.
Najibullah Zadran won the player of the match, the most sixes and the game changer of the match awards whereas Bahar Ali Shinwari was awarded the stylish player of the match. It’s to mention that the Kabul Eagles will face the Bost Defenders in the morning whereas the Mis-e-Ainak Knights will face the Hindukush Stars in the afternoon fixture tomorrow.
