Knights went past the Stars to secure a place in the playoffs

The Mis-e-Ainak Knights, banking on Allah Mohammad’s fine bowling display followed by some explosive batting from the experienced trio of Gulbadin Naib (40*), Mohammad Shahzad (36) and Asghar Afghan (17*), went past the Hindukush Stars comprehensively to get two important points and secure a spot in the top four advancing to the playoffs.

Knights went past the Stars to secure a place in the playoffs

The Mis-e-Ainak Knights, banking on Allah Mohammad’s fine bowling display followed by some explosive batting from the experienced trio of Gulbadin Naib (40*), Mohammad Shahzad (36) and Asghar Afghan (17*), went past the Hindukush Stars comprehensively to get two important points and secure a spot in the top four advancing to the playoffs. 

Earlier in the afternoon, the Stars opted to bat first but were reduced only to 104 runs in their first inning. Usman Adil was their top run-scorer with 27, whereas apart from Allah Mohammad’s 4 wickets, Amir Hamza and Zahir Khan took two wickets each. 

The Mis-e-Ainak Knights chased down the target in the 10th over by 8 wickets to boost their net run rate and secure a spot in the playoffs. They will now face the Kabul Eagles in the eliminator tomorrow afternoon. 

Allah Mohammad was awarded the player of the match, Mohammad Shahzad won the most sixes award whereas Gulbadin Naib won the two remaining awards of the Stylish Player and the Game Changer of the match awards. 

The table toppers, Bost Defenders and the Speenghar Tigers will face off each other in the first Qualifier tomorrow morning which will be followed by the eliminator in the afternoon.
