Kabul Eagles beat Bost Defenders to record third consecutive victory

Having won the toss, Eagles skipper Asghar Afghan opted to bat first in the seventh match of Shpageeza Cricket League at Kabul Cricket Stadium. Younas Ahmadzai, Asghar Afghan and Hazratullah Zazai scored 35, 25 and 20 respectively to help their team post 144/7 on the scoreboard setting 145 to win for Bost Defenders. Nasratullah Quraishi took two wickets for the Defenders while spinners Zia ur Rahman and Qais Ahmad were economical and took one wicket each.

In response, Eagles’ bowlers Amir Hamza Hotak, Tendai Chatara and Waqar Salamkheil took two wickets each as Bost Defenders were all out for 119 in 18.1 overs losing the match by 25 runs. Hashmatullah Shahidi and Bahar Shinwari gave notable performances with the bat scoring 35 and 22 runs respectively. Salamkheil was awarded Man of the Match for his two wickets in two balls.

Defenders will face Amo Sharks tomorrow at 9 AM in their next match of the tournament while the Sharks are also scheduled to face Eagles on 12th in the 10th match of the tournament.
