JAVED, NAJAT OUTCLASS DEFENDERS AS DRAGONS QUALIFY FOR PLAY-OFFS

A brilliant century by Javed Ahmadi and a five-for by Najat Masood ensured Paragon Band-e Amir Dragons outclass Arif Azim Bost Defenders beating them by a big margin of 109 runs to qualify for the play-offs of Shpageeza Cricket League.

JAVED, NAJAT OUTCLASS DEFENDERS AS DRAGONS QUALIFY FOR PLAY-OFFS

Winning the toss, Dragons batted first and posted 193/4 in 20 overs as Javed Ahmadi scored the first century of the season and the second overall in League’s history after Cameron Delport’s hundred in 2017. Ahmadi remained unbeaten on 117 registering the highest individual score in Shpageeza history.

In response, Defenders were completely outclassed as Dragons as they were all out for 83 .Fast bowler Najat Masood registered the second best figures of Shpageeza history with 22/5 in his four overs. Qais Ahmad’s 27 and Darwish Rasooli’s 22 were the notable performances for Defenders.

The Play-off stage of the tournament will be held on 16th October as Paragon Band-e Amir Dragons face Wazirzai Mis-e Ainak Knights in the first while Kabul Eagles will face Speenghar Tigers in the second Play-off match.
