Boost Region registered their 2nd victory in GAK Cup

After winning the toss, Boost region opted to bat first against Speenghar in the fourth match of the ongoing GAK Cup 2021.

Ihsanullah Janat and Riaz Hassan started very well for their team and shared 80 runs in between them for the first wicket. Ihsan continued his great form and followed his match winning hundred from the first match with a handy 74 runs while Darwish Rasooli contributed nicely with 69. 

Young top order batsman Riaz Hassan scored 44 at the top of the order, Mohammad Ibrahim had 34, Asif Mosazai made 22 while Abidullah Taniwal finished the inning with an unbeaten 20 off just 6 deliveries. For Speenghar Region, right arm quick Farhad Momand picked up 3, while Ismat Alam, Mohammad Tahir & Bahar Ali Shinwari took 1 wicket each. 

In response, Bahar Ali and Shabir Noori had a decent start for Speen Ghar region but lost their way at the middle as they were restricted to 119 for 5 during the 31st over. Mohammad Tahir started to rebuild the inning from there & scored an unbeaten 64 but couldn’t save his team from the 2nd straight defeat.

For SGR, Bahar Ali and Tariq Stanikzai scored 34 runs each, Nasir Omar had 29 while Bahir Shah clipped with 28 runs respectively.

Left Arm Fast Bowler Abidullah Taniwal picked 3, Waqarullah and Abdul Baqi took two wickets each while Yamin Ahmadzai had only 1. 

Abidullah Taniwal was awarded as the Man of the Match for his all-round performance in the game.
