Bamyan and Nangarhar B register 2nd straight wins, Kabul B off the mark in Grade II 2022

Bamyan went past Paktia to register 2nd successive win, Nangarhar B comprehensively beat Kapisa for their 2nd victory and Kabul B came back strongly to beat Uruzgan by 138 runs to get the first two points in the ongoing Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan Provincial Grade II Competitions 2022.
Uruzgan opted to bowl against Kabul B, who have started well but once again lost the opener Bilal Ahmadzai early, Sohail came in at number three and scored 90 off 104 deliveries to take Kabul B past 180, Abdullah came in and finished the inning quite well for the Kabul B, as he smashed 5 sixes in his 27 balls 52 to lift Kabul B to 264/9 in 50 overs. For Uruzgan, Ansarullah and Ahmadullah picked up three wickets each while Rahimullah returned with 2 wickets.
Kabul B started to defend their total well as they picked the first three wickets for just 36 runs in 7.1 overs. The bowlers kept bowling tight to reduce the opponents to 101/4 and then to 120/7 in 26.1 overs before were all out for 126 in 30 overs. Lali Khan (60) was the only man who has crossed the 50 run mark for Uruzgan. The skipper Almas Shirzad picked 4 wickets for Kabul B, Babar Khan and Azizullah Babro took 2 wickets while Feroz Khan and Abdullah Khan returned with one wicket apiece. Sohail Khan was awarded as the player of the match.
Earlier in the morning, Bamyan opted to bat against Paktia in Khost, they got off to a quick start as the openers shared 103 runs for the first wicket between them. The skipper Sabawoon Banoori scored a blistering 58 before Rokhan Zarmalwal struck his 2nd hundred in his 2nd successive game, he scored 112 before Khalid Ahmadzai contributed with another half-century to his team scoring 61 runs at number 4. Bamyan posted 261/5 in their 50 overs. For Paktia, Haqmal, Sami, Muhib and Rizwan took one wicket each.
In reply, Paktia got off to a solid start but the centurion from the last game, Rahman Zurmati, nicked one behind in the 7th over for 18. Yousuf Shah with his 40 off 42 kept the scoreboard ticking but was short of his crease when Amjad Shinwari threw one directly onto the stumps. Paktia was reduced to 88/3 and then 99/5 in 21 overs. Skipper Haqmal Arya (51) scored a half-century and the fast bowling allrounder Muhib Zurmati clicked with 28 runs, but could not get their team home, as they only made 221 runs and lost the game by 40 runs. Rokhan Zarmalwal was awarded as the man of the match for his 2nd successive hundred.
In the third game of the day, Kapisa opted to field against the hosts Nangarhar B, and struck on the very first delivery of the inning, as Khalil trapped Hizbullah Durani in front for not. The home side lost Sohail Sediqi in the 6th over to leave them 17/2, the player of the match in the previous match Abid Mohammad (99) alongside the skipper Akbar Musazai (60) batted well and shared a 142-run partnership between them. Majeed Alam scored fifty at the back end of the inning to lift the team total to 276/10 in 48.1 overs. Khalil Habibzai picked 5, Farmanullah took 3, while Irfanullah and Asif Shah got one wicket each.
In reply, Kapisa lost their first 4 wickets for 94 runs in 22.1 overs, Farmanullah (27), Nasibullah (26), and Hadisullah Safi (23) got themselves into some runs but were not able to convert them to big scores, and fell short of the target by 65 runs as they got out all on 211 in 47th over. Humayun Shinwari and Jameel Shinwari got three wickets each while Abid Mohammadi got two. Abid Mohammadi for his all-round performance was awarded as the player of the match.
Up next will be Ghazni, which will face Herat tomorrow in Kandahar, Takhar will meet Parwan in Khost whereas Balkh will be up agaist Nooristan tomorrow at the Ghazi Amanullah Khan Cricket Stadium in Nangarhar.
