Ahmad Shah Abdali First Class Tournament begins on September 16

The seventh edition of the Etisalat Cup – Ahmad Shah Abdali First Class Tournament 2024 begins on September 16, 2024. The event features four teams that will compete in a double round-robin format from September 16 to October 26 at two different venues in Nangarhar Province.

The tournament kicks off with the Mahipar Stars taking on the Hindukush Strikers on September 16 at the Ghazi Amanullah Khan Cricket Ground. The other two teams, Pamir Legends and the Maiwand Champions will also compete for the title. A total of 13 matches will be played across 42 days, with the final scheduled to begin on October 22.

This year's tournament will showcase national-level players and top-performing domestic talents, which will help the ACB provide more exposure and excellent playing opportunities for young and emerging cricketers.

As a significant part of Afghanistan's domestic cricket structure, the Etisalat Cup – Ahmad Shah Abdali First Class Tournament contributes to the development of players and the Red-ball form of the game in the country.
