Afghanistan U19s continue to impress with the bat and ball as they went past Sri Lanka U19 by 62 runs to win their 2nd successive game at the U19 Tri-Series. 

Afghanistan, after winning the toss, opted to bat first and posted a good-looking 298 in their first inning. Mohammad Haroon Khan, who could convert his starts into big knocks in the first few matches, turned things around this time and scored an exciting 88 runs. In addition, Khalid added 45, Kamran chipped in with 43 and Sohail Khan continued his good form and scored 34 runs before running himself out. Duvindu Ranatunga picked 4 whereas Dinura Kalupahana took three wickets for Sri Lanka. 

In Reply, Afghanistan U19s started their defense quite well as Yama Arab picked two wickets in the first over. Sri Lanka Batters made partnerships one after the other but Afghanistan bowlers continued to take wickets at regular intervals to bundle Sri Lanka out for 236 to win the game by 62 runs. Yama Arab kept his fine form running and took another 4-fer, his third in four innings. Khalil Ahmad also picked three, whereas Bashir Ahmad and Kamran Hotak returned with one wicket each. Yama Arab (4/41) was named the player of the match. 

Afghanistan U19s will meet Bangladesh U19 in the 4th match of the ongoing Tri-Series on the 24th of March at the same venue.
