Afghanistan Emerging beat Oman by 9 wickets

Having won the toss, Afghanistan U23 opted to field first in their second match of the tournament. Omar were all out for 153 in 44 overs as Jitendra Singh top-scored with 72. Tariq Stanikzai was the pick of Afghan bowlers taking 4 wickets while Abdul Wasi took 2 wickets. In response, Afghanistan U23 chased the target in 30.5 overs with Abdul Malik and Shahidullah scoring 91 and 34 runs respectively while Baheer Shah also scored 24. Stanikzai was awarded the player of the match award for his four wickets. Afghanistan U23 are scheduled to play their next match in the tournament against Sri Lanka on 18th of this month.
