Afghanistan Edge past Pakistan to go 2-0 up in the Series

Afghanistan put on an incredible show with bat and ball to clinch a historic series win by defeating Pakistan by 7 wickets in the 2nd game of the three-match T20I to go 2-0 up in the series.

Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first, they only bettered their batting effort from the first game as they put 130/6 in their first inning. Afghanistan's bowlers continued to keep a tight grip on the game in the 2nd T20I as well. Fazal Haq Farooqi was the standout performer with the ball, finishing with impressive figures of 2/19 in his four overs. Rashid Khan also made a significant contribution, taking 1/16 in his four overs. The rest of the Afghan bowlers chipped in with wickets at crucial moments, keeping Pakistan's run rate in check throughout the innings.

In response, Afghanistan got off to a steady start thanks to the 2nd wicket partnership between Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran. Gurbaz was particularly impressive with the bat, scoring 47 runs to lay the foundation for a successful run chase. Ibrahim Zadran also played a crucial role in the middle order, scoring 38 runs to keep the momentum going for Afghanistan.

With the finish line in sight, Afghanistan lost a couple of quick wickets which gave Pakistan a glimmer of hope. However, Mohammad Nabi (14*) and Najibullah Zadran (23*) showed their experience and composure under pressure to guide Afghanistan to a comfortable six-wicket win. Fazal Haq Farooqi was named the best player of the match for his incredible bowling numbers. 

The victory was an incredible achievement for Afghanistan, as they registered their first-ever series win against Pakistan in any format of the game. The Afghan players and fans were understandably overjoyed with the result, as it signaled a new era of success and dominance for the team on the international stage.
