AfghanAtalan Leave Kabul for the United Arab Emirates

Afghanistan Senior Men’s Cricket Team left Kabul for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) this afternoon with the aim of gaining UAE residency as well as featuring in a preparatory camp to gear up for the upcoming international events.

Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) often hosts other countries in the UAE, so it is needed that a number of officials and players must obtain UAE residency and/or residence permits.

With the influx of players into the country, the ACB preferred to organize a training and preparation camp for the Afghan players under the supervision of some best coaches in the UAE to better prepare for the upcoming cricketing events.

The Afghan Cricket Board (ACB) has also reached an agreement with some experienced and high-profile coaches for the camp, which will be announced soon on the organization's social media handles and other relevant sources.

It’s to mention that the Afghanistan Cricket Board has also named Graham Thorpe, a former English Batter, as the new head coach for the Men’s national team, who will join the team and step up into the role at the end of April 2022.
