AfghanAbdalyan Beat Bangladesh A to Make It 2 Wins Out of 2 Games

Kabul - October 20, 2024: AfghanAbdalyan have put on a sensational performance as they, banking on a stellar batting performance from Sediqullah Atal (95*), went past Bangladesh A by 4 wickets to register their 2nd successive victory at the ACC Men’s T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024. 

Earlier in the evening, AfghanAbdalyan won the toss and opted to bowl first. Sharafuddin Ashraf (1/9), Qais Ahmad (1/26), Karim Janat (1/32) and Bilal Sami (1/43) took one wicket apiece as Bangladesh A posted 164/4 runs on the board in the first inning.

In reply, the Abdalyan lineup lost wickets on regular intervals but Sediqullah Atal (95*) kept one end very tight and continued scoring runs all around the inning to take AfghanAbdalyan over the winning line in the last over with 4 wickets in hand. 

Sediqullah Atal was awarded as the Player of the Match for his stellar batting performance and won the award for the 2nd successive time in the event. 

AfghanAbdalyan now sit atop the table with two wins from two games and will take on Hong Kong in their final Group A match on Tuesday, October 22.
