Kabul Eagles Join the Speenghar Tigers in the Qualifier 2

The Ayoubi Kabul Eagles beat the Katawazai Mis-e-Ainak Knights by 39 runs (D/L method) to join the Sungeen Speenghar Tigers in the 2nd Qualifier of the Etisalat Shpageeza Cricket League 2022. 

The Kabul Eagles have won the toss and decided that they will field first. The bowled well in a rain-hit game, which was reduced to 14 overs per side. Azmatullah Omarzai took three wickets to help the Eagles reduce the Knights to 107/9 in 14 overs. Mohammad Nabi and Khalil Ahmad also picked two wickets each. Riaz Hassan (25) and Sediqullah Atal (23) were the only two men who have crossed the 20-run mark. 

Ibrahim Zadran (31*) and Rahmanullah Gurbaz (30*) batted incredibly well to score 72 runs in the first 5 overs before rain interrupted the game again. The Kabul Eagles were awarded the progression to the 2nd qualifier as they were 39 runs ahead of the target (D/L Method). 

Azmatullah Omarzai was named the player of the match, Rahmanullah Gurbaz was named the stylish player of the match, whereas the remaining two awards, the most sixes and the game changer of the match were awarded to Ibrahim Zadran. 

Kabul Eagles, after winning the eliminator, will now face the Speenghar Tigers tomorrow in the 2nd Qualifier, with the winner of the match will progress to the final of the Etisalat Shpageeza Cricket League 2022.
