Kabul – September 11, 2024: The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB), in collaboration with the International Cricket Council (ICC), successfully conducted its first-ever Level 3 coaching course in May last year. Twelve Afghan coaches were trained by experienced ICC trainers, who have now passed the Level Three Coaching Evaluations after completing practical sessions with individual players.
The Course was held back in May 2023 in Abu Dhabi. As part of the workshop, the coaches were assigned three-month practical projects with individual players, which were to be evaluated by ICC instructors. All 12 coaches passed with high marks and earned formal recognition as Level 3 coaches.
ACB CEO Mr. Naseeb Khan expressed his pleasure with the accomplishment and emphasized the importance of such training programs in the development of the game in Afghanistan. He assured that more capacity-building opportunities for the coaches’ development will be provided in the future.
The ACB has consistently organized various training programs for different technical areas and remains committed to the professional development of the game in Afghanistan.
