The sixth season of the Shpageeza Cricket League (SCL) is scheduled to be held in August. ACB CEO Asadullah Khan and relevant SCL Franchise owners signed the ownership agreements at ACB Headquarters in Kabul.

THE SIXTH SEASON OF SHPAGEEZA CRICKET LEAGUE SCHEDULED FOR AUGUST

The sixth season of the Shpageeza Cricket League (SCL) is scheduled to be held in August. ACB CEO Asadullah Khan and relevant SCL Franchise owners signed the ownership agreements at ACB Headquarters in Kabul. 

An event was organized which was attended by ACB officials including CEO Asadullah Khan and the SCL Committee members while Franchise owners Zia ul Haq Wazirzai, Haseeb Nabi, Dr. Zia ur Rahman, Rashid Azimi and Noor ur Haq Malikzai were also present.

Addressing the event, Mr. Asadullah Khan called SCL a great platform that has helped emerge young cricketing talent for Afghanistan and requested the corporate sector in the country to consider investing the Afghanistan Premier League T20 as well.

On behalf of the franchise owners, Mr. Zia ul Haq Wazirzai said that Cricket is the sport that brings joy to the Afghan nation and he will always be committed to helping the sport grow in the country. He also called out other prominent investors and businesses to participate in the game’s development and growth.

The franchise ownership agreements for five teams were signed in the event. Speenghar Lions’ ownership was awarded to the Muslimyar Group, Mis-e-Ainak Knights to Wazirzai Group of Companies, Band-e-Amir Dragons to Paragon Group, Boost Defenders to Arif Azim Co. Ltd while the Amo Sharks was awarded to Almasafi International Trading Co. while the ownership rights of the Kabul Eagles franchise has not been awarded yet.

The sixth season of the SCL is scheduled to be held in late August at Kabul International Cricket Stadium.
