Kabul, May 12, 2024: The 4th edition of the Mirwais Neka Regional Three-Day Tournament 2024 is set to begin on May 17 in Nangarhar Province. The event features 5 regional teams that are scheduled to compete in a round-robin format at two different venues in Nangarhar province.

Mirwais Neka Regional Three-Day Tournament Begins This Friday

Kabul, May 12, 2024: The 4th edition of the Mirwais Neka Regional Three-Day Tournament 2024 is set to begin on May 17 in Nangarhar Province. The event features 5 regional teams that are scheduled to compete in a round-robin format at two different venues in Nangarhar province.

A total of 10 games will be played in the tournament across 19 days from May 17 to June 04. Mis-e-Ainak, Band-e-Amir, Amo, Bost, and Speen Ghar are the 5 regional participating teams that will face off once against each other in the round-robin stage, with both the venues, the Ghazi Amanullah Khan Cricket Ground and the Najibullah Taraki Cricket Ground, hosting five games each.

The competition features top-performing players from the recently held Provincial Grade II and Grade I tournaments as well as standout players from the High-performance camps. The Tournament is considered to be quite important in terms of producing new talents and contributing to the development of the game in the country.

The Mirwais Nika Regional three-day event is the 5th of many domestic events that are included in the domestic cricket plan for the year and will be followed by the Ahmad Shah Abdali First-Class and the Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional List-A events later in the year.
