Women Cricket Development Manager is responsible for managing the Afghanistan Cricket Board's women cricket program and for management of ACB's development of cricket. These roles will be primarily involved in developing women cricket in all of the provinces of Afghanistan. The manager will collaborate with, and provide leadership for, the Regional and Provincial Women Cricket Players in this development.

Job Summary:

Women Cricket Development Manager is responsible for managing the Afghanistan Cricket Board's women cricket program and for management of ACB's development of cricket. These roles will be primarily involved in developing women cricket in all of the provinces of Afghanistan. The manager will collaborate with, and provide leadership for, the Regional and Provincial Women Cricket Players in this development.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership for women cricket development and women cricket staff.
  • Manage development, co-ordination and implementation of a range of cricket projects and to increase participation and performance levels from school playground to international competitions.
  • Deliver high quality, in school programs, linking suitably talented players with district youth, senior adult teams, clubs and thus ensuring sustainability in the game.
  • Carry out appropriate administration and reporting tasks as required. Ensure effective evaluation and reporting take place with regard to all development planning targets.
  • Plan capacity building activities, training for regional and provincial cricket development.
  • Collaborate with local managers to organize all women development competitions and tournaments at regional, provincial, district, school and club levels.

 

Including:

  • Monthly reporting meetings with Chief Executive Officer.
  • Mid & Full year performance appraisal report should sent to Chief Executive Officer.
  • Frequently monitor, Assist cricket academies at central, regional and provincial levels.
  • Plan capacity building program for local women team and club development.
  • Work within approved budgets and ensure agreed budgets are monitored, controlled and adhered according to Afghanistan Cricket Board procurement plan.
  • Prepare, submit and/or present reports/presentations, as and when required by the CEO or other officials.
  • Liaise with the Marketing and Media Manager as and when appropriate, regarding the promotion of specific programs, events or initiatives.
  • Support the senior players of the selection committee and its members when required.
  • Development annual women cricket development work plan with ACB regional and provincial representatives.
  • Contribute to the development of the national cricket development strategy.
  • Work in partnership with key internal and external staff in devising, implementing and reviewing development policies.
  • Perform any other task assigned by line supervisor.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor in Business Administration or any other related field.
  • At least 7 years experience in management field in any organization preferably in a sports organizations.
  • Maintains high level of confidentiality.
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, prioritizing skills, attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work as a team member in varied activities and projects.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office
  • Good Communication and Inter-personal skills
  • Fluent speaking in English, Dari & Pashto
  • Must be able to prepare monthly report, plan and implement.
  • Must have cricket knowledge, computer knowledge and self-confidence.
