AFGHANISTAN TRIUMPHS OVER ZIMBABWE IN THE SERIES OF FIVE ODIS

Afghanistan and Zimbabwe played a series of 5 ODIs in Zimbabwe Harare. The Afghan team triumphed over Zimbabwe in the series with 3 matches victory.

Skipper Ashgar Stanikzai won the toss of the Final Match and elected to Bat first. The team scored a total of 243 with 9 wickets gone. The top scorers were Rahmat Shah with 50, Mohammad Nabi with 48 and Noor Ali Zadran with 36.

The second inning was interrupted by rain and as per the DL system, Zimbabwe was given a target of 161 in 22 overs.

Zimbabwe could not chase the given target and lost the match by scoring a total of 54 with all wickets gone in 13.5 overs.

Afghan Bowlers each Hamza Hotak and Mohammad Nabi took 3-3 wicket where Rashid Khan Arman took 2 and Gulbadin Naib and Dawlat Zadran took 1-1 wicket.

Rahmat Shah was recognized as man of the match.
