Afghanistan Cricket Board Disciplinary Committee today has lifted the imposed 1-year playing ban on Wicket-Keeper Batsman Mohammad Shehzad Mohammadi after spending its almost seven months with immediate effect.

ACB lifts the ban on Wicket-Keeper Mohammad Shehzad

Afghanistan Cricket Board Disciplinary Committee today has lifted the imposed 1-year playing ban on Wicket-Keeper Batsman Mohammad Shehzad Mohammadi after spending its almost seven months with immediate effect.

He will be eligible to play all forms of Cricket subject to his fitness from the 26th of February 2020 but his contract ban will continue till the previously imposed date August 2020.

The 33-year old Mohammad Shehzad had recently lodged a mercy appeal & promised not to repeat the mistake to the ACB Chairman Mr.Farhan Yusefzai which was accepted. Mohammad Shehzad Mohammadi was banned from playing in Afghanistan’s national & domestic teams for 1-year in August last year for violating ACB Discipline rules for traveling and practicing outside the country without prior NOC from ACB.

Known as MS last played for Afghanistan in the last ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 in England and ruled out of the mega event due to the knee injury after playing just two official matches against Australia and Sri Lanka in England.
