Passion for sport and understanding of cricket Familiarity with ICC rules and regulations Must have cricket knowledge Effective communication skills to communicate effectively with all concerned partners

Job Summary:

Media Officer will be expected to develop and implement a media and communications strategy in support of the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) strategic plan. She is responsible for assisting the Media Manager and Media team to achieve the following responsibilities.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the implementation of all women cricket coverage activities.
  • Prepare and write media statements/releases
  • Having an organization that consistently acts with integrity ensuring that information is disseminated in an effective and timely manner
  • Cover and organizes media and community events throughout Afghanistan.
  • Conducts and records interviews with cricket players, stakeholders, ACB officials, and other relevant sources of “good news” stories throughout Afghanistan.
  • Develop, implement and monitor media and visibility plan to facilitate better understanding among partners and government about ACB as an organization and program progress.
  • Gather reports and information and results from zonal offices for the magazine, newsletters, and reports.
  • Develop visibility material (English, Dari and Pashto) such as monthly newsletter, quarterly magazine, quarterly reports, and update on ACB website.
  • With input from the Chairman, CEO, Media, help produce high-quality ACB progress reports
  • Draft high-quality editing and formatting for all Media Officer related documents
  • Support ACB Media Officer staff in organizing and managing seminars, workshops, press conferences and field visits as required
  • Deliver relevant services to ACB on reporting and communications and act as a facilitator or trainer
  • Provide an editorial resource for external news agencies, ACB publications, including the ACB website and Facebook page
  • Any other duty assigned by line supervisor.

Job Requirement:
