Afghanistan XI beat Tamil Nadu team by 125 runs in a practice match at Chennai

As part of a training camp held in Chennai, Afghanistan XI team beat the local team Tamil Nadu by 125 runs in a practice match today. 

Batting first, Afghanistan XI set a target of 246 runs for the opposition. Samiullah Shinwari top-scored with 59 while Sharafuddin Ashraf, Gulbadin Naib and Hashmatullah Shahidi scored 39, 36 and 32 runs respectively. In response, Tamil Nadu team was all out for 120 runs in the 32nd over of the chase. Sayed Shirzad took 3 wickets while Sharafuddin Ashraf and Javed Ahmadi took two each. Skipper Asghar Afghan and Gulbadin Naib also contributed with a wicket each.

The practice match today is a part of a training camp held in Chennai for the national team. The camp constitutes the first phase of their preparation for next year's ICC Cricket World Cup in England and Wales.
