Afghanistan beats Ireland in its second ODI contest

Following the series of 3 T-20Is, Afghanistan Cricket Board is hosting Ireland team for the series of 5 ODIs and One I-Cup match. The team triumphed over Ireland in its 2nd One Day International match as well.

Afghanistan won the toss and elected to Bat first. The team gave a target of 339 to Ireland. The skipper Asghar Stanikzai scored a total of 101 while Rahmat Shah scored 68 and Shahzad 63.

Ireland could not chase the given target and lost the match by scoring 304 in 47.3 overs of the match with all wickets gone.

Afghan Bowlers each Rashid Arman took 6, Dawlat Zadran 3 and Gulbadin Naib 1 wickets.

Paul Stirling was recognized as man of the match.
