Team Announced for I-Cup

Afghanistan national team will play its first match against Scotland during ICC intercontinental cup games. This match will be played from June 2nd to June 5th in Scotland. For better preparation of the match Afghanistan Cricket Board held a training camp at Ghazi Amanullah Khan International Cricket Stadium and Kabul in-door cricket academy. 

The final squad was selected from the players participated in the training camps. For getting familiar with the conditions; training is planned in England as well. After the training the team will play its first 4-day match against Scotland.
Shafiqullah Stanikzai the CEO of Afghanistan Cricket Board said,” it is very important to have training camps and play well against strong oppositions to reach our main goal of gaining test status. I believe that our national players will play their best to get to the destination and will bring great achievements to the nation.” It is worth mentioning that, the national team will leave for England tomorrow to have the third round of training camps.
