15-Member Squad Announced for WC

Keeping in view the numerous parameters to choosing the best players for the Afghanistan National Team representing at the ICC World Cup 2015, Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) announced the final list of 15-player squad with 4 reserved players on Monday afternoon. The selection committee took two days to analyze, assess and observe each player’s performance, skills and vision. The decision was taken based on the overall evaluation.
 Member of the selection committee Mr. Dawalat Ahmadzai announced the squad in a press conference on Monday. The head coach of the Afghanistan National Team Mr. Andrew Moles told media that the selection was made entirely on the basis of players’ performances and their technical skills. It took long debates and discussions to reach the decision. He said, “For the players who are not part of the list, the committee has already given them strong reasons for that. They are also given suggestions to work on the areas where they lack or struggle.”
 He further added, “We hope that this vibrant combination of young enthusiastic players and senior experienced players will make a strong team to participate in the world cup. We wish them all the best.”
