Government Chief Execuitve Meets the National Team

Chief Executive of Afghan government said good bye to the national Cricket team participating in the ICC Cricket World cup 2015. The CEO of the government has presented his best wished during the meeting with the delegation from Afghanistan Cricket Board and the national team. He motivated the team that the national unity government supports the Cricket team fully and he is hopeful for the best performance. The meeting was held at Sapedar palace where the chairman of Afghanistan Cricket Board has briefed the Chief executive of the government about the qualifying to the world cup and the preparation towards world cup. He added that it is the first time that the national team qualifies to one day international Cricket world cup which is a huge achievement for Afghans.
 Nasimullah Danish said that the national team is departing to Australia on Friday and thanked the chief executive for supporting the players in this important stage. Chief Executive Abdullah told the players that the nation is looking forward to the success of the players and keep them in their prayers. He added that Cricket has always brought achievements to the country and thanked the team in behalf of the government. According to him Cricket is in the development stage in the country and the support of the government from the Afghanistan Cricket Board and players will continue. He also thanked the international coaches who came to Afghanistan in such tough conditions for the support of Afghanistan Cricket team. Dr. Abdullah promised that a larger amount of budget will be given to Afghanistan Cricket Board in the next annual budget.
 Later on, the Chief Executive Officer of Afghanistan Cricket Board Shafiqullah Stanikzai briefed the chief executive of national unity government. He said that Afghanistan is the associate member of ICC and will try to gain full membership in the next five years. Stanikzai added that ACB wants high support of the government to promote Cricket the country. He said that if Afghanistan gets full membership Afghanistan Cricket Board will get millions of dollars funds and budget from ICC and not only ACB will not require budget from the government but will also give millions of tax to the government. The meeting ended after saying good bye to players by the Chief Executive of the government.
