Afghanistan U19 triumphs over Pakistan U19 in Lahore

In the last match of the ongoing practice series between Afghanistan and Pakistan U19 cricket teams today, Afghanistan hammers Pakistan with a remarkable win, leading the score by 69 runs.

Pakistan won the toss and elected to field. Afghanistan’s batsmen swooped the scores with consistent fours and sixes and scored 223 runs off 45 overs with the loss of 9 wickets. Player of the match Ihsanullah (Right hand batsman) led the team to victory by making 65 runs in 70 balls.


Afghanistan ??s U19 team didn’t cease to cheer the crowd with its competent fielding later. Pakistan was at a loss of one wicket in the second over itself. Pakistan’s batting summed up in 41.3 overs with the score of 154 runs, players all-out. Afghanistan’s slow left arm bowler Zia-ur-Rehman once again spelled his magic by taking 4 wickets in 8.3 overs with total of 17 runs.

Afghanistan Cricket Board’s CEO Dr. Noor Mohammad Murad congratulated the Afghan U19 team and said, “Afghanistan is waiting for the players eagerly. The players have added another feather to our cap. This is just the beginning and I am hopeful that the team will take this game of cricket to another level.”
