Afghanistan Under-19s win their third match against Singapore

Afghanistan Under-19s defeated Singapore raising hope for the semi-final in Youth Asia Cup, 2016 at Kaluthara, SriLanka Dec 18, 2016.

Singapore chose to field first after winning the toss, Afghanistan pushed out their rivals for just 73 in the 19th of the 50-over match.

Yousuf Zazai excelled with the ball for taking four wickets including all three top order batsmen before scoring double digit. Mujib Zadran also took four wickets and Naveen Ul Haq caught two wickets.

Darwish Rasooli was not out struck 53 off 15 balls including nine fours to help Afghanistan reach the 74-run target in the fifth over, losing only one wicket.

Afghanistan played three matches in Group B, winning two matches from Pakistan and Singapore. Singapore failed to achieve any point in 2016Youth Asia Cup, 2016.

The semi-finalists have yet to be officially confirmed as table toppers Bangladesh are playing Pakistan playing with 2 plus points.

In Group B, defending champions India and hosts Sri Lanka have booked their place in the semi-final of the tournament.
