Final Squad announced for Second 4 Day Friendship Cup, 2016

Kabul: Afghanistan Cricket Board Development Squad (ADS) announced for second 4 – Day match against Habib Bank Limited (HBL) to be held in Alokozay – Kabul International Cricket Stadium on May 24, 2016.

Pakistan’s HBL team is captained by former test opener, Imran Farhat, whereas, Pakistan’s star players, Ahmed Shehzad, Umer Gul and Shahid Afridi is expected to join the team for One Day matches.

Nasimullah Danish, Chairman of Afghanistan cricket Board expressed a hope that 4 – day match will sparkle the skills of players for test contest, “Hosting the International players and HBL cricket team is big development and I hope it will pave the way for more International tour to Kabul, Afghanistan.”

“The Afghanistan Cricket Team seeing this series as chance to get primed for the Scotland, Ireland and Netherland tour, This Friendship Cup is providing good exercise to Afghan players”, added Shafiqullah Stanikzai, CEO Afghanistan Cricket Board.

" This squad is well balanced and full of quality, talent, youth and experience , development squad played very well in the first 4 – Day match.” Daulat Ahmadzai, Head of selection committee and coach of ACB’s Development Squad said.
