ACB Announce Squad For first 4 Day Friendship Cup

Kabul: Afghanistan Development Squad (ADS) and Habib Bank (HBL) will be playing two 4 – Day and four ODI matches in Alokozay – Kabul International Cricket Stadium in May – June, 2016. Selection Committee meeting has been scheduled on May 12 at Kabul to pick the team for the Friendship Cup.

"Our public loves cricket and we are trying to further elevate our product," Nasimullah Danish, the chairman of the ACB executive committee, said. “We are celebrating unity in diversity and I urge the fans to come and watch these matches in the Alokozay - Kabul International Cricket Stadium."

The two 4 – Day matches is slated to be held from May 17 to May 26, and ODI will be played from 29 May to 4 June, 2016.

"ACB’s development squad made significant progress and this will be a real challenge and we're all looking forward too.” Shafiq Stanikzai, the CEO Afghanistan Cricket Board, said. “ACB has introduced a competitive system with strong teams. This will provide good competition and provide opportunities for players to show their talent.”
