Three eminent Afghan players- Nabi, Rashid and Shahzad have been chosen for of Pakistan Super League (PSL) Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
Former Afghanistan cricket team skipper Mohammad Nabi was part of Quetta Gladiator team during the inaugural PSL as well. Mohammad Shehzad was selected in draft for Peshawar Zalmi team.
Shahzad has become a cult figure in Twenty20 format and his natural talent made people notice him. He has his own way of dealing the cricket, with boundless enthusiasm, showing every emotion and attacking like a man. The techniques he picked up off the streets cricket has made him loved. Afghan players were ideally suited to the Twenty20 format and vowed to put some dazzling performances.
Mohammad Nabi will be playing for Chittagong Vikings in BPL and Quetta Gladiator in PSL
The is the second time Afghan players were picked in the major Twenty20 league in Pakistan. Five franchises will be representing the major capital cities of Pakistan including Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar and Quetta. Quetta Gladiator also included players like England's Kevin Pieterson and Jason Holder. Whereas Peshawar Zalmi included Shahid Afridi and Darren Sammy. The tournament is expected in February in UAE Sharja Cricket Stadium.

In the fourth edition of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) which complete fixture is not announced yet but it would probably be held in November and December, 2016. Mohammad Shahzad will be playing for Rangpur Raiders, Mohammad Nabi for Chittagong Vikings, and Rashid Khan rising star of Afghanistan cricket team will be playing for Comilla Victorians in Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
Selection of Nabi, Shahzad and Rashid Khan in BPL and PSL is considered a major factor behind Afghan cricket steady development over the recent years.
