Kabul: Afghanistan Cricket Board men wing started a High Performance Training Camp for Afghanistan Men Cricket Players from May 2, 2016 at Kabul National Cricket Academy. This training camp will ensure focused and specialized performance enhancement especially in the areas of batting, bowling and fielding. All together 45 boys (National, ‘A’ and Under-19 Team) are taking part in the camp which will conclude on June 5, 2016.
“The main objective of the camp is to improve the overall physical fitness of all players and to enhance the technical aspect of each player’s game and to prepare them for the upcoming international events.” Said Raees Ahmadzai, coach of Afghanistan national team.
The main motive behind organizing the camp is to discover the hidden talent and also give more encouragement for taking up cricket.
“Organizing such training and fitness camps not only helps the youngster to increase their skills but also gives them a confidence to perform better in their upcoming matches.” Mirwais Ashraf Afghanistan National cricket team bowling all-rounder said.
Five coaches are providing training at the camp.
