MECCA: Three Afghan cricket players are performing Hajj in Mecca along with more than 2.5 million pilgrims from across the world.
Hundreds of thousands of Muslims have descended on the holy city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia as part of the annual Hajj pilgrimage.
For Twelve days, pilgrims of every ethnic group, age and social status from all over the world will pray as one community and take stoke of their blessings as they complete the fifth and final pillar of the Islamic faith.

Afghanistan Cricket Team Captain and Right-hand Middle-order batsman Asghar Stanikzai, Wicketkeeper and Right-hand-bat Mohammad Shahzad, and Rahmat Shah Legbreak googly and allrounder are performing Hajj rites these days.

Asghar Stanikzai (Captain), Mohammad Shahzad, and Rahmat Shah aged 29, 28 and 23 respectively, are part of the Afghanistan Cricket Team squads for the upcoming series against Bangladesh, which is scheduled to start from September 25 in the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur.
