S&C Course Ends Successfully

Kabul: The Afghanistan Cricket Board’s (ACB) Afghanistan National Cricket Academy (ANCA) Strength and Conditioning Elementary Course has ended successfully today Wednesday, 24th August, 2016.

The closure was witnessed by the ACB Chief Executive Shafiq Stanikzai, Vice Chairman Haji Aziz Ullah Fazli, S&C Coach Khawaja Rohail Ali, ACB Development Officer Musharaf Shirzad and Dawood Babar, Manager Development, Afghanistan Cricket Board.

Nasimullah Danish, Chairman of Afghanistan Cricket Board said, “Let’s share knowledge. We can deliver our country to success. Cricket is dynamic right now and as coaches you need to show the desire to learn each passing day. Cricket in Afghanistan is getting more managerial than what even happens on the pitch. ACB can help with various forums where we meet and discuss about Cricket.”

“I’m proud of you the coaches, my dream is to have a capable human resource. The coaching and technical plan is rolling according to the ACB’s development plan. Tomorrow we are starting ICC level II umpiring course in Kabul Afghanistan.” Shafiq Stanikzai, CEO of Afghanistan Cricket Boad added.


“We have skilled coaches at this level. I would like to see you get involved in coaching and pass on the technical expertise to the players’ said Haji Azizullah Fazli, Vice Chairman of Afghanistan Cricket Board added,

According to the S&C Coach Khawaja Rohail Ali, “I am very happy to see qualified pool of coaches in this training and we are confident after this strengthen and conditioning training they will be capable to understand injury assessment, and will be capable to treat players in their respective regions.”

Former Afghanistan National Cricket Team player and current coach, ‘Said Rehman Ahmadzai’ received his certificate of participation said, “This training was very helpful for me and also for my other thirty colleagues participated from all over Afghanistan and I am demanding Afghanistan Cricket Board to organize more advance course for Afghan coaches to enhance their technical skills.”

The Chief Executive Officer thanked ANCA team for organizing this course successfully.
