Afghanistan National Cricket Academy (ANCA) introduced S&C elementary training course for coaches/players at the ANC Academy Kabul, on 22 to 24 August, 2016. This training is not only for experienced coaches, but also for the coaches in initial stage.
ANCA has developed high level coaches training program. Its aim is to provide each continent and as many as possible with competent coaches who are capable of progressing athletes through to the highest level. Training is provided on the ten continents and developing ANCA a genuine University for sports professionals.
“We designed this course to modernize the first steps of The ACB’s coaching pathway. The purpose of the new courses is to create a clear introduction to this pathway, that is aimed at people who want to coach as a volunteer at community club level or aspire to make cricket coaching a career. Said Nasimullah Danish, Chairman of Afghanistan Cricket Board.
Dawood Babar, Manager development department of ACB added, “The training contained lectures, physical training, making training guides, and practical training. Even though the schedule is quite hectic, but I am sure the participants will finish the training satisfactorily.”
Mr. Azeem Malik head of S&C mentioned that, “This three days training course organized for ACB’s coaches/players, this level course covers the basic fitness testing, Beep, YoYo recovery test, running techniques, climatic stress management, basic anatomy and Physiology, bones, muscles and systems, first aid and injury prevention.”
S&C Coach Khawaja Ruhail Ali, M Phill Sports Sciences with National Lead S&C Jason Douglas MSc Exercise Sciences to keep its standard according to the International standard, while Musharraf Shirzad Development Officer ACB, MPPA and Naveed Yousafzai, Masters in Mass Communication and Marketing Top up it with Advance Management and Communication aspects on high node. This Course has been designed for coaches of Afghanistan and S&C Needs of Afghanistan along with other cricket playing Countries.
