Mis Ainak Knights entered 4th Shpageeza Cricket League final after defeating Amo Sharks by 32 runs in Qualifier 2 of the playoffs in Kabul on Thursday.
Choosing to bat first after winning the toss, Mis Ainak posted 185/7 as they played all their mandated overs.
MAK faced early blow when they lost their opener Kamran Akmal who was caught by bowler Sharafuddin Ashraf after he made only 7, however, the innings found back momentum with Skipper Nowroz Mangal blasting 61 off 34 balls, followed by Rahmat Shah who scored 40.
Ihsanullah Janat made 24 while Gulbuddin Naib helped 21 including three sixes to help their side post a tough target in the crucial game.
In the chase of 186, Amo Sharks looked to struggle early as they lost openers Usman Ghani and Javed Ahmadi in the first three overs.
Their innings started to find back momentum with Salman Butt and Afsar Zazai at the crease. And at the stage of 10 overs, they were 73/3, same as what were MAK except for the difference of one wicket.
They lost Butt in the following over on his 31 before their fifth batsman Khaibar Omar was dismissed in the 14th over while they needed 71 from 38.
Amo Sharks were still hoping victory when their skipper Mirwais Ashraf was at the crease, however, their hope dimmed when he was caught on 47.
Amo Sharks were bowled out in the 19th over while they needed 32 runs from 10 balls.
Theyfaced MAK in the playoffs after losing to Kabul Eagles in Qualifier 1.
With the victory, 2014 champions MAK will face Kabul Eagles in the final on Friday.
