Amo Sharks sink Bost Defenders, to face Kabul in Qualifier 1

Amo Sharks restricted Bost Defenders to 108/6 as they clinched their fourth victory in the 15th and last match of the first round of Shpageeza Cricket League on Tuesday.

Choosing to bat first, the winless Bost were slow from the very beginning. They made around 20 runs in the fifth over while they had lost two wickets. Yamin Ahmadzai and Mirwais Ashraf took two wickets each to help restrict Bost to a total of 108 in the 20th over.

For Bost, Nisarulhaq top-scored with his 25. He was followed by Nasim Baras (23) and Rahim Mangal (19).

In the chase of the lowest target in the tournament so far, Usman Ghani got lbw out in the third over while the score was only 8. However, Salman Butt and Afsar Zazai made the chase look easy as they hit 44 and 31 respectively not out. Earlier, Javed Ahmadi also contributed in the chase before being removed on 25 by Najibullah Zadran.

With the win, Amo Sharks reserved their second place on the points table and will lock horns with toppers Kabul Eagles in the first match of the playoffs on Wednesday.
