Afghanistan Cricket Board signs MoU with BCCI for home ground in India. The Board of Control for cricket in India (BCCI) on Thursday signed an MOU to support Afghanistan Cricket Board with a home ground in India.
Greater Noida Cricket Stadium was named as home cricket ground for Afghanistan Cricket Board, where Afghanistan Cricketer will be trained and play matches. BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur and IPL Chairman, Rajeev Shukla were available during the occasion and even signed the MOU.
"Home ground in India is countless opportunity and will really help our cricket players. I am sure now the younger players will be also notices in IPL teams. Besides, we are also hopeful that the BCCI will help us with technical assistance.” Mr. Danish Chairman Afghanistan Cricket Board said.
CEO Afghanistan Cricket Board Mr. Stanikzai said, “We are very committed for promoting cricket as number one sports in Afghanistan, since long we were struggling for home ground to meet demand from players who want to take a sport to the next level.”
