Kabul: Alkozay International Cricket Stadium and Indoor academy is underway modernization and up-gradation.

 “These positive steps are taken for strengthening domestic and international cricket in Afghanistan.” Said Head of development Mr. Dawood Babar. Afghanistan Cricket Board is opening Shpageenza Cricket Leagues on November 2, 2015 in Alkozay Kabul International Cricket Stadium Kabul.
 Afghanistan’s national and International players are participating in Shpageza Cricket League. Players from Pakistan, Hong Kong, UAE and Nepal also showed curiosity for playing cricket in this league. Pavilion of Alkozay Kabul International Cricket Stadium will be constructed as per international standard, separate dressing rooms will be constructed for players of both team competing in Alkozay Kabul International Cricket Stadium. Flood lights will be arranged to play day and nights matches in upcoming Shpageeza Cricket League. 
 Eight Thousand Chairs and sun sheds will be installed to encourage cricket fans. Afghanistan Cricket Board longing to have well equipped Indore cricket academy in Kabul. This academy will be utilized for training national teams. Indoor cricket Academy will be equipped with new technology where bowler speed line, length will be calculated and video of the bowler and batsman will be recorded to improving players performance.
 “Cricket is the most popular game in Afghanistan and this is our utmost struggle to facilitate players and audience of Afghanistan.” Chairman said.
