Afghanistan National team is leaving for England for playing ICC T20 qualifier round. The ICC T20 qualifier round will start on 9th July, 2015. A total number of fourteen (14) teams will participate in the games hosted by Scotland and Ireland. Afghanistan national team will leave from Kabul to the host country today.
Afghanistan Cricket Board held a conference at the conference hall of ACB regarding the plans and preparations of the national team. Chairman Nasimullah Danish, Vice Chairman Azizullah Fazli, Deputy CEO Dost Mohammad Nazari, Captain Asghar Stanikzai, Head Coach Andy Moles, national players, media correspondents, and ACB employees participated in the conference.
First of all Danish talked about the value of the tour and the preparations of the national team. He said; “Afghanistan national team is heading towards the ICC T20 qualifier game with its full strength and courage. The team is totally ready to qualify to the ICC T20 world cup like ever. The combination of experienced and young players will lead the team to success.”
The captain of national team Ashgar Stanikzai said; “each players is going with high moral. The training camps had great impact on the players.” The head coach Andy Moles said that the players’ physical and psychological preparation is very important for success. The team will enter to ground for each match with a special plan.
