Paktia won Alokozay-Baba-e-Millat Provincial Tournament

Alokozay-Baba-e-Millat provincial cricket tournament final match held today at Kabul Cricket Stadium, Kabul. Captain of the Paktia team Ghamay Zadran won the toss and chose to bowl first. Laghman scored 172 all out in 38 over. Khyber Omar scored 38 and the skipper Shafiqullah Shafaq scored 34 runs. Zahir and Rahmat from Paktia team recorded 2 wickets.

Paktia  chased the target in Thirty-ninth (39) over after losing 5 wickets. Ghamai Zadran was the top scorer with 58 runs while Younis Ahmadzai scored 49. Shafaq and Ahmadzai got 2 wickets each for Laghman. Ghamay Zadran secured player of the match award. 
Mr. Shafiqullah Stanikzai, CEO Afghanistan Cricket Board; Vice chairman Azizullah Fazli, the members of parliament Mr. Nawab Mangal, Ameer Khan Yaar and Qadir Zazai along with assistant marketing manager of Alokozay group of companies Mr. Nooryalai Ibrahimi, deputy CEO of Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) Mr. Dost Mohammad Nazari ,Nazeemjaar Abdulrahimzai the domestic manager of ACB and Wais Abdulrahimzai the deputy of Loya Paktia Youth Council participated in the closing ceremony. 
The participants of the ceremony presented awards to player of the final match Ghamay Zadran, batsman of the tournament Younis Ahmadzai, best bowlers Ahmad Zia and Zahir, player of the tournament Riaz, the winner and runner-up teams. CEO ACB, Shafiqullah Stanikzai applauded the cricket development in Afghanistan. He said, “ The tournament has revealed lots of talent and have given us the good news of bright future for Cricket in Afghanistan.” He appreciated all staff and specifically the domestic department for organizing the tournament in the best way.
